INEIは光を映すための道具です。 揉み加工を施した銀調の和紙を照らすことで、繊細な陰影による光の情緒を感じることできます。 使い手自らが和紙の形を変えることで、日々異なる表情を楽しむことも可能です。 自然界の木漏れ日のように、日々移り変わり、規則的でない美しさを人工物である照明という道具の中にも見出せないかと考えました。

INEI is a tool for reflecting light. By shining light onto the silver-toned, crumpled washi paper, you can feel the emotional impact of the light created by the delicate shadows. By changing the shape of the washi paper, users can enjoy a different look every day. I wondered if I could find the same kind of irregular beauty that changes every day, like the sunlight filtering through the trees in nature, even in a tool as man-made as lighting.
